- Nursing Service Administration (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Hood River Medical Hospital in Hood River , OR.
We are seeking an Administrative Assistant 1 Nursing Administrative
- Nursing Service Administration who will provide secretarial support to Nursing Management, Infection Control/Safety, and Visiting Physician's Clinic. Duties include computerized order entry, typing, database maintenance, computerized payroll entry, distribution of policies/procedures, and general receptionist duties in the Visiting Physician Clinic.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Provide secretarial support to Nursing and Infection Control/Safety, which includes; taking meeting minutes, reformatting/typing policies and procedures, form development, distribution of documents, and various other duties as requested
Provide telephone coverage for clinic; answers calls promptly and courteously; receive and distribute messages accurately and in a timely manner
Coordinate patient admissions/appointments as requested
Photocopy and fax relevant documents for physician/staff as requested
Perform data and order entry for scheduling patient treatments, diagnostics and related ancillary services.
Maintain adequate supply of office supplies to ensure efficient, cost effective, systematic operation of clinic; orders supplies as necessary, within established limitations, and according to established guidelines
Maintains work area in a neat and organized manner
Represent the Physician’s Clinic Staff while interacting with patients, visitors, and other departments
Use, troubleshoot and maintain all office equipment including computers, telephone and photocopy and fax machines; functions as resource to “visiting staff” and provides training as needed
Be responsible for collecting, verifying and processing the payroll information for Nursing employees in order to upload information to the HBOC system in preparation for the bi-weekly payroll checks
Attend all required in-service education programs, and other educational programs as requested
Maintain a clean, professional appearance, follows dress code
Demonstrate ability to manage conflict in a positive manner
Demonstrate effective/positive communication skills
Required qualifications for this position includes:
High School Diploma -OR- GED
Two (2) years general office experience
Formal related educational experience
Experience with a variety of software applications
