Providence is calling a Certified Nursing Assistant 1- Medical Surgical (0.9 FTE, Rotating/Variable) to Providence Hood

River Memorial Hospital in Hood River, OR

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant - Medical Surgical that will maintain good working relationship with staff RN

in order to coordinate optimum patient care and use time wisely in carrying out patient assignments.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Identify and coordinate self-development

  • Work cooperatively with patients, families and with other health team members

  • Plan and uses time effectively in doing assignments

  • Participate in the Quality Improvement program

  • Utilize standards of care for appropriate nursing unit

  • Participate in required inservice programs

  • Promote a positive attitude towards work environment, supporting change and facilitating constructive resolutions to

conflict incurred in the work environment

  • Collect and document data about patients. Reports data out of parameters to RN

  • Maintain knowledge of patient's care plan and contributes to the development and review of the patient care plan

  • Implement direct patient care within scope of practice as assigned/delegated by the RN and within hospital policies and


  • Participate in patient teaching


Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • Current certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant in the state of Oregon

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • High School Diploma -OR- GED or equvalent experience
