Providence is calling a Registered Nurse - Employee Health (0.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital in Hood River, OR.

This unique opportunity will support local employers in which contracted Providence Health and Services for their Employee/Occupational Health needs. This role will support three to four different manufacturing facilities throughout the week in offering support for continued general wellness at the work site. Candidates who enjoy working fairly autonomously but enjoy developing strong rapport with their patients are encourage to apply. The average schedule will consist of working 8 hours throughout each week (some weeks more some weeks less).

In this position, you will:

  • Implement Employee Health programs and promotes comprehensive employee health and safety for local employers, as contracted.

  • Work with programs that include individual health monitoring and preventative health programs consistent with federal, state and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards and requirements.

  • Work with programs that are designed and implemented to maximize employee recovery, ensure appropriate benefit delivery, and to minimize costs and time loss from work.

  • Perform all duties in a manner, which promotes team concept and reflects the Providence Health System mission and philosophy.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Oregon license as a Registered Nurse

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification

  • 4 years of experience as a Registered Nurse

  • 2 years in Occupational Health Nursing or equivalent experience

  • Experience in managing Workers Compensation and light duty programs

  • Training and skill in physical assessment

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing

  • Certified Occupational Health Nurse
