Providence is calling a Painter - Facility Services (1.0 FTE, Day) to Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital in Hood River, OR

We are seeking a Painter- Facility Services that will maintain interior and exterior surfaces and wall coverings of the hospital, its related building structures and their accessory items. Responsibilities include providing recommendations and cost estimates for painting and construction projects. Supervises the work of outside painter. Manages the storage and disposal of paint and related products. Documents work in the electronic work order system. Assists Carpenters with projects.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Maintain interior and exterior surfaces according to facility standards through the application of finishes, coatings, and wall coverings. Makes drywall and acoustic ceiling repairs as needed

  • Manage the storage and the disposal of paint and related products in accordance with the classification of the product's hospital procedures and DEQ requirements

  • Maintain current and accurate electronic work order documentation according to department guidelines

  • Supervise and coordinates the work of outside contractors. Communicate concerns and issues to the Manager as necessary

  • Review and formulate recommendations on contractor's paint submittals for construction projects

  • Apply identifying stenciling to hospital property as necessary

  • Maintain the paint shop in a safe, clean, neat and organized manner

  • Actively participate in department and staff meetings, and organizational required trainings


Required qualifications for this position include:

Commercial painting experience - OR - Experienced supervising painting projects
