Providence is calling a Resident Assistant - Brookside Manor to Providence Brookside Manor in Hood River, OR.
We currently have full-time, part-time and fill-in relief positions available for Day (6:00am-2:00pm) , evening (2:00pm-10:00pm) and Night (10:00pm to 7:30am) shifts.
We have openings for caring individuals that will aid us in delivering care for residents in a spirit of respect, compassion and sensitivity. Brookside Manor is an Assisted Living and Memory Care Facility and the Resident Assistants aide our residents at all levels of care.
No experience required, we will train you!
Receive above minimum wage for no experience!
Shift differentials paid for Evening ($1.20/hr) and Night ($1.90/hr) shifts

We are seeking a Resident Assistant - Brookside Manor who will be responsible for personal assistance/activities of daily living to residents, while maintaining a safe, comfortable, active, engaged, homelike environment.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Report observations/information regarding changes in residents care/condition to Med Aide or RN in a timely manner
Participate in care conferences with other staff, Residents, and family members
Respect at all times the privacy of the residents, by knocking on door prior to entering apartment
Answer Residents call lights in a timely manner and attend to Residents needs while respecting individual preferences
Demonstrate patience and compassion; avoid condescending attitude. Provides cares in accordance with Service/Care Plans
Perform basic housekeeping - i.e. assisting in keeping Residents apartments and facility neat and clean
Attend all in-services/meetings and other programs for community specialization and standards
Assist in new staff training and orientation
Participate in Quality Improvement activities
Maintain good rapport by interacting in conflict or stressful situations in a manner that facilitates constructive resolution
Complete work/charting in a timely manner; requesting help and assisting other team members when necessary
Communicate effectively and manage conflict in a positive manner
Respond to constructive feedback by adopting an appropriate change in behavior
Follow Providence Brookside Manor dress code
Assist or lead residents in activities
Complete Healthstream education on time
Frequently check email
Follow through with assigned tasks
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position includes:
First Aid Certified (or employer will provide)
Criminal Background clearance
In compliance with company policy and state regulations, a Department of Human Services (DHS) background check
Preferred qualifications for this position includes:
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Experience in Residential Care Facility/Assisted Living Facility or hospital/long term care
